Newest BMW Additions
At the NAIAS this week, BMW is showing off its newest additions to the new BMW 5 Series lineup, including the M550i and the 530e iPerformance. The iPerformance hybrid versions of the 3 Series, 7 Series, and X5 will also be featured along with the all-new X2 concept.
The M550i is a super-powered four-door sports car, with a Twin Turbo engine putting out 456 horsepower and reaching 60 mph in under 4 seconds. The 530e iPerformance is a hybrid with a 4-cylinder engine and 15 miles of all-electric range.
The 530e will have three eDrive modes that lets the driver switch between Auto, for automatic power distribution from the engine and electric motor, and Max, for max electric power, as well as an electric power conservation mode.
The X2 concept is another exciting debut. The latest in the X Series of Sport Activity Vehicles, the X2 combines X Series crossover styling, with coupe design in a vehicle with a low, sporty stance, practical interior space and ride height, and dynamic performance.
The new BMW 5 Series lineup will also introduce new technologies like the next developmental stage of BMW Connected including OnBoard, Remote 3D View, and a preview of the Real Time Traffic Information service.
