The diesel powered 2014 328d has been stirring up some commotion over the past few weeks and some of it has been focused on it potential fuel economy. Although BMW has yet to release the official fuel economy numbers for the 2014 328d, the MPGs were posted on the EPA’s FuelEconomy.gov website. As many people have expected, the 2014 328d does well for itself and brings 32 city miles per gallon and 45 highway miles per gallon. We here at BMW of Bowling Green can’t say we’re surprised that the 2014 328d out ranks its competitors.
The previously offered BMW diesel 3 Series (the 335) came with six cylinders but was only offered as rear wheel drive, and was rated 23 city miles per gallon and 38 highway miles per gallon. BMW stepped up their game with the new 2014 328d which they also offer an xDrive all wheel drive (31/43 miles per gallon ratings) and even an xDrive wagon (31/43 miles per gallon ratings). The BMW 2014 328d is expected to roll into showrooms across the country sometime this fall, and once it does, it’ll be the only diesel vehicle offered in its class! So stayed to find out when we get some in stock so you can be one of the first ones in to test drive one of these high mileage beasts!
