Do you dream of the day when you can purchase your first car for your child? Well, that day may come sooner than you think. Maclaren, the high-end British stroller company (not McLaren the Formula One racing team) has released a special edition BMW Buggy.
The new Buggy is a lightweight, umbrella-type stroller with design elements inspired by already popular models. In communication with the New York Times, Carolyn Komminsk, Maclaren’s chief of design, said, “The Maclaren BMW Buggy is meant to reflect the sleek design and efficient maneuvering of the BMW and the innovation, design, style and safety of Maclaren.”
Maybe if Dad knows he is pushing a BMW, he’ll be more willing to take your little one for a stroll through the park. Komminsk added, “The audiences we are after, in addition to mothers of course are fathers. Our buggies have VIN numbers, like a car, so we can trace a unique part all the way back to its origin.”
The BMW Buggy features the iconic logo on the center harness clasp and on the wheel caps. The stroller even has a four-wheel suspension system, so your baby can ride just as comfortably in the Buggy as in your Series 3.
Maclaren offers a whole range of BMW-branded stroller accessories, including an expandable foot muff, an umbrella, a cup holder, and a park blanket. You can get the BMW Buggy for $385 and it’s available in three colors: black, silver, and blue. Or you can buy the whole StyleSet, which includes all the BMW accessories for $555.
